Bill Welense is a designer, technologist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Chicago. A lifelong musician and tinkerer, his philosophy is to create seamless, delightful experiences that connect people through technology, both in their work and everyday lives. As an interaction & service designer, he's explored new territories with clients such as the US Government, Bloomberg, and The Brain Recovery Project. He enjoys addressing business challenges through his expertise in data-driven research, service blueprinting, and rapid prototyping. As a musician & sound designer, he relishes experimenting with analog & digital technologies to create soundscapes that intrigue the listener. Bill holds an MS in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University, where he has also been on the adjunct faculty. He lives on the far-north side of Chicago with his wife and their two cats.
